Tea Travels
Serendipity Tearoom, Tennessee
Serendipity Tea Room closed in December 2016 after over 20 years of business.
What a charming tearoom nestled in an antique mall, unfortunately the building was up for sale and all the vendors and this charming tearoom were forced to close.
The day we visited we were greeted by an elderly man named, Johnny. He shared that the tearoom was his wife's love and passion, but she had developed dementia and was no longer able to work, so he and his daughter kept it alive.
The tearoom was decorated with a garden setting and the table settings were adorned with lovely vintage bone china teacups. It was a fairly large room and could seat 85 people.
I could sense the love and passion of this tearoom and I'm sure that many loving memories were made here.
